The Norman Cross was a prisoner of war camp just outside of Peterborough. The prisoners created some amazing art work that was sold to locals. Some items are available for viewing in Peterborough Museum currently. 

Inspired by this, participants will complete a six week course creating an art piece that is supposed to bring others joy during a time of hardship.

IIt's competition time! Each week, learners will discover a new recipe. At the end of each session, all participants will have created their own design. Participants are actively encouraged to bake and bring to share at the next session. The penultimate week will allow bakers to bake their own recipe. The grand finale will be held on the last day, with the winner crowned top baker.

We provide reading logs for either recommended reads or free reading and provide weekly events that support the engagement of participants.

In this unique course, Bhuku will assist participants in having a better understanding of British Values. Week one will be an introduction, covering life in Britain. The following weeks will look into each value in more depth, and include suggesting how we can implement these into our everyday lives. The weeks will cover: Democracy; The Rule of Law; Individual Liberty; Mutual Respect; and the Tolerance of Those with Different Faiths and Beliefs.

Our country has a variety of cultures running through our everyday - how wonderful! Through discussions, research, videos, fun activities, food,  games and prepared materials, participants will be able to gain a better understanding of other cultures. Let's celebrate our diversity!
